| Flow Into Parallel Fractures.
When multiple fractures are operated at the same flow potential, dead zones can develop between the fractures. The lack of fluid movement within these zones means that remediation may not be occurring exactly where the fractures were placed. Rather, fluid will move into / out of the dead zones by a "matrix diffusion" type process.
